Each January, our Tribute to Claudia Festival brings together some of the world’s finest chefs to Vila Joya’s restaurant. This festival started as a celebration of Vila Joya’s 25th anniversary and in honour of the founder of Vila Joya, Claudia Jung. It has now become a nine day event with many Michelin-starred and award-winning chefs from the four corners of the globe.

Award-winning chef Dieter Koschina from Austria has been at Vila Joya since 1991 and has had two Michelin stars since 1999. Koschina oversees a gourmet dining experience with creativity and quality serving up exquisite and delicious food with finesse.
Each January Chef Koschina brings together some of the world’s finest chefs for Vila Joya’s Tribute to Claudia Festival. During the festival he hosts the most popular evening, Koschina and Friends, when he and other chefs create a tasting menu of their signature dishes.
Chef Koschina is also the focus of another popular gourmet special on the Algarve offered by Vila Joya, Cooking Class with Koschina. Guests stay at Vila Joya and enjoy cooking classes with chef Koschina.
